Africa is all set to witness the formation of a brand new industry association for Data Centers that is scheduled to be formed at the Datacloud Africa Summit, which takes place in Marrakech on 28 September.
Companies including Groupement Orange Services, ITA, NSIA Technologies, MTN, PAIX Datacenter, Rack Centre, Schneider Electric are launching together the Africa Data Center Association (ADCA) on the 28th of September in Marrakech.“Africa data centers confront a series of challenges not least in deploying and powering new facilities, commented Paul-François Cattier, Vice-Président Economic Development, Africa & Middle East, Off Grid energy, Water Grid, Data center, Multi Lateral Organisations, Schneider Electric. “The new association to be launched during Datacloud Africa and will provide the first organizational body for African operators, a valuable resource supporting industry best practice, an outstanding networking platform for the exchange of information and ideas.”
